Teddy Sabutey works a freelance practitioner in the film and television industry in Ghana since 1983. He has worked in various capacities; including as production manager, production fixer, line producer and producer with many local and foreign production outfits, including, Paramount Pictures; BBC; CNN; CBS; in the area of both feature Film and TV documentary productions. Having worked on feature films, over the years, like Mission impossible 3-PARAMOUNT PICTURES (UK) Pre-pre-production, in Ghana); Plan international-Boy Solder-docudrama-DREAM EYEWORKS (HOLLAND); ‘Welcome Home’ (35mm) WEGA FILM OF VIENNA, as the Unit Manager; HOLBY CITY- Medical (35mm) -BBC TV series and many more.
Teddy has also worked on various TV documentaries including; “How I got Here” a Forte Entertainment (legacy One Production Inc.); “Who Do You Think You Are” a BBC production and “Every Street United”, for the 2014-Fifa World Cup. The Secretes of Sinbad; and two episodes of “The Amazing Race reality show by WRA Group-World Race Productions Inc. as the Local Producer)
He has recently produced a feature film, “The Rude Awakening” and yet to be released TV drama series “Return of the Dove”
While working and acquiring knowledge over the years in the film and television industry, Teddy had the opportunity to participate in a couple of capacity building workshops including one organized by Script-net UK and sponsored Bournemouth University, titled ”Producers Workshop” in 2004. Teddy also has taken part in the Michael Hewitt-Gleeson `s School of Thinking – 2008, an online course, as well as The Institute of Professional Investigator`s course from 2011 to 2012, which help in building his capacity in the Film and Television industry.
